St. Louis Bizarre Foods Highlighted

St. Louis and its bizarre treats are featured on an episode of “Bizarre Foods America” on the Travel Channel with host Andrew Zimmern.  The episode titled “Pig Snout & Paddlefish” has host Zimmern sampling foods revered as hometown staples like toasted ravioli, gooey butter cake, provel topped pizza to the more brave and culinary daring according to the “Post Dispatch”.  A trip to Schottzie’s for brain sandwiches, snoot tip combo dinner at Smoki O’s, then to the Farmhaus, a place he describes as “the edgiest restaurant in town” for a gastronomical feast of pig-heart pastrami, pig-ear terrine, finished off with a dessert of sweets topped with pig liver caramel sauce.
