Schnucks Agrees To Settlement

Schnucks Markets is agreeing to a proposed class-action settlement stemming from the computer systems breach where millions of customers debit or credit cards were compromised.  The “Post Dispatch” reports, under the proposed settlement, Schnucks would pay up to ten-dollars to those customers whose cards were compromised, and had fraudulent charges posted.  The grocery store will also pay those affected for certain un-reimbursed out-of-pocket expenses such as bank, overdraft and late-fees.  The cap the company agreed to shell-out on the claims is one-point-six-million-dollars.
