Homeownership Sliding In St. Louis

The number of people who own their own homes is declining in St. Louis.  According to the Census Bureau, seventy-percent of people in the area were homeowners during the recorded period of 2010 through 2012, a drop from seventy-one-point-nine-percent in the prior three-year period. The “Post Dispatch” reports, although rates dropped nationally, St. Louis is second only to Minneapolis for homeowners in the nation’s fifty largest metro areas.
